  1. Unknowable wifi issue

I have an amazingly stupid and irritating issue with my laptop. Firstly, the laptop is an asus G551JW. The internal wifi card is an Intel 7260HWM. Here is the issue I have. My wifi card will suddenly and without warning stop working. When this happens, my computer will not act like the wifi card disappeared, it will instead say I'm still connected to my network Let's call it Home-5G. So It will say connected to Home-5G but no internet access. Now sitting at my desk, if I look at list of available networks prior to the issue, I will see well over a dozen including Home-2G and Home-5G. Once this happens I only see Home-5G the one I'm connected to all others disappear from the list completely as if Home-5G were the only network in the world. At this point, if I reset the wifi adapter then 50/50 chance it will fix and I'll have internet again. This issue occurs at random intervals anywhere from 5 minutes apart to 2 days apart.

Easy, must be a hardware failure, right? I purchased a USB Wifi card Neoteck Gold Pro AC 5G. I plug it into my laptop and... the same issue. I thought how strange that is that I would have this issue with two different wifi cards going through two different interfaces which rules out a fault with the miniPCI-E slot my internal wifi goes through. With that in mind, I tested the Neoteck on my desktop, it worked flawlessly. Didn't have a single hiccup with the thing.

Digging a little deeper, I noticed something interesting. In Device Manager, after the problem shows its ugly face, it says "No drivers installed for this device" on my wifi card. If I go to the "Drivers" tab though, it shows the driver still clearly installed.

I've scanned for viruses with three different anti-virus software, I've tried running in safe mode, shutting off all startup programs, turning off services I don't use, turning recommended services on, refreshing/resetting Windows. Nothing I do will allow me to keep this laptop connected to the internet... not even a USB wifi card. Now before you go and blame my router, there are three cellphones, two Playstation 4's, two smart TV's and a Xbox One all on wifi not to mention when friends visit and bring their laptop. No other device has any issue with the wifi ever; just this one laptop. I'm at my wits end. Also, the problem doesn't exist when I dual boot into my Linux system. It's a Windows 10 issue on my laptop.

    :)

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
