Windows 10: Unknown and Unauthorized User in My Windows 10

I am the sole user on my PC using Windows 10. Recently I had to restart my PC and noticed that there were 2 users showing - one in my name and a second one named John.I checked my Control Panel and there is only one user, me.I tried to sign in as John and it takes me to a series of screens of Microsoft setup options, which I did not complete as I am unsure where it would lead. How do I clear my PC of this John user?

Hello,

Since I upgraded to Windows 10 I am seeing an account that I did NOT create. So I deleted it by going into Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > User Accounts > Manage Accounts then I click on the unknown user account and delete it. That said.... It
comes back. I have also followed the below suggestions from other posts and still does not seem to work.

Let’s try simple steps and check if the user account is detecting and try removing it.

  Press Windows key + R, type netplwiz and press Enter.
  
• 
  Check if the user account is appearing on the list.
  
  
• Click on user account and click on Remove. (If user account appear on the list).

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Unknown sign in account in Windows 10

I tried multiple times to remove unknown account ("John"), and it soon returns when I reboot or after my PC is asleep. Now, I am getting an additional "user" account...likewise from an unknown origin. The 3-step process described above does not prevent
the re-appearance.

This is very frustrating AND causes e great concern. I fear that unauthorized users are gaining access or other nefarious activity is occurring.

PLEASE, Microsoft, RESOLVE this problem!!!
