    Unknown Device: Asus Z490 Strix Gaming -E


    I have just upgraded the motherboard on my workday PC and installed Windows 10 2004. Everything has gone well, but I have not been able to resolve an 'unknown device' /missing driver issue.

    The location is shown as 'on Intel(R) Serial IO I2C Host Controller - 06E9'
    and the hardware ID reads: 'ACPI\VEN_CYP&DEV_0002 ACPI\CYP0002 *CYP0002

    The Problem code reads -'0000001C'

    Needless to say, I cannot download any drivers!

    Has anyone come across this issue, who might be able to throw some light on this? Thanks

    X800 GTO2 = Unknown Device

    I flashed the BIOS on my X800 GTO2 last night and it is listed in the Device Manager as an Unknown Device. Is this normal?

    Intel Chipset Driver installation information on Asus ROG STRIX Z370-E

    Intel chip set do not include any driver. The only thing that include is a better description name in device manager. I see a lot of users that don't understand it.

    The only drivers you need is Intel management engine.
