Windows 10: Unknown log file

I found out that there is a file named ad_log.log in my D Driver and it is massive; I don't know what it does and why it takes 21.1GB of space.My D Driver is out of space so I want to delete some files including this one.I'm just here to ask if deleting this file will cause any problems.

Saves log files ?

You can either read the files in Windows or my preferred method is.....

Download CCcleaner from here...........

You can then run cleaner, you will see the log files listed, then if you right click you can save as a text file and then have a read. You may also get an "error reporting" log listed seperatly.

 

Does Windows 10 log opened files from recent files?

Does Windows 10 have a log listing all opened files? I am trying to troubleshoot when some unknown files were opened on my PC. They appear in the Recent File list in File Explorer, but they were on an external drive and do not show a date when they were
last opened. The files in question are .jpg located on a F: drive. Their properties only show creation dates before they were opened, and the modification dates are even older, suggesting that they were edited back then. I have searched my PC, and the files
do not exist on it. Thanks!

 

Only write one number to log file and delete old ones?

Hey,

I'm trying to have some software read from a .text file a number (GPU Temp) but the software will only the first number in a list (Or the first anything)

Is there a way to have to log file delete the previous entries and write the new number in it's place without any headers?

I have some webcam software that can read a number (or whatever) from a text file and then it displays the number as an overlay.

I was trying to use GPU-z to do this but as it logs as a list the webcam software can't update properly (also it reads the headings of the file and displays them instead)

Is there anyway to alter the logging to only output just the number (GPU Temp) and to delete the old numbers so the new value is the only value in the file.
