    I have a startup entry called program. I have the file path but when I try to find it, it's nowhere to be found? I noticed a " between Program and files. C:\Program" Files\x86\.... Is there a way to actually find the file or is it hidden to such an extent that it's impossible? It's an IQOptions executable but I no longer have the app installed. I would like to remove it if at all possible. Does anyone know how?

    Startup program without entries

    Hey,

    I've installed my gaming mouse software, it does start on boot minimized in the taskbar.

    I don't like having extra icons there, and this mouse has BIOS features which it save whatever programming being made by the software.
    So there is no point having that programing there unless I want to make new programming.

    The problem:
    I can't find any entry for that program anywhere:
    not in the task manager startup
    not in the startup folder
    not in the registry startup paths, (used search as well)
    CCleaner doesn't list it there
    Msconfig services, isn't listed

    I don't mind having it there tbh, but now I'm so curious what kind of witchcraft this program is using!?

    Unknown program in Task Manager-Startup Programs

    This helped me. I used the command line string to that unnamed Program to find it in RegEdit. Led me to HKLM\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run whereupon when I deleted the line, the Program line immediately deleted itself in Task Manager / Startup. Cheers.

    Adding programs to startup with Windows 7?

    You could add entries to the registry to launch the apps on startup, but it's easier to just add them to the startup foler as Newt suggested.
