    Unknown tiny window on desktop


    Hi all, hoping someone has seen this before. I am running win10 version 20H2 build 19042.867 on a two week old freshly built pc. Today I noticed a small off-color rectangle near the top left of the screen (Pictures 1 and 2). Mousing over it lets you resize it to reveal a tiny black window with a tiny white title bar (Picture 3). Can't right click the window, can only resize it. I've quit out of all monitoring applications and closed everything possible in the system tray but it is still there.

    Let’s try simple troubleshooting steps and check if this helps in resolving the issue. I would suggest you to restore the desktop settings and check.


    • Type desktop on the Windows search bar and select
      Show or hide common icons on the desktop.
    • Now click on Restore default.
    If the issue still persist, I would recommend you to perform disk cleanup and check.

    windows xp installation and dual core am

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

    windows 10 deleted my desktop files

    Step 1 - I upgraded to Win 10 and lost all my files on Desktop.

    Step 2 - Found the files in Network - USers- Desktop

    copied all files again to desktop.

    Step 3- Restarted my machine again and lost desktop files again.

    Step 4 - As suggested did the following as listed below but dont find my files.

    • Press “Windows + E”, open This PC/Computer
    • Open Local Disc C, open Windows.old
    • Click on Users, select your User name
    • Go to desktop folder
    Cant find my files. Why is Win 10 deleted files again and again from Desktop ?.
