Windows 10: Unknown USB Device Port Reset Failed

My USB ports stopped working well, I would plug in my phone and it would only charge not giving me the option for file transfer, I can't even hear the connection sound of the USB.I tried updating my USB drivers, when I tried updating the USB composite device, out of curiosity I unchecked the "compatible hardware" check box and I saw unknown USB drivers port reset failed. I figured this is the root of the issue but I thought that error should have been on the main device manager under USB. It isn't there, so I don't know how I can uninstall these unknown device since I can't see them on devic

Unknown USB Device (Port Reset Failed)

Hi Jhakesong, I've tried the suggestions you've given, but unfortunately, I've had no success with it.

I opened device manager again and uninstalled the 3 USB Root Hubs I have and restarted my computer. The drivers upon bootup have been reinstalled but the same two ports fail to recognize any device inputted. Unknown USB Device (Port Reset Failed) is still present and it appears as though this method did not work. Is there anything else I can try? Thanks for the help, I appreciate it.

Hello, a few months ago a USB port on my lenovo laptop became unable to recognize any device that would be entered. I normally use my USB ports for peripherals such as mouse and keyboard. Checking my device manager shows Unknown USB Device (Port Reset Failed). Following some guides on the internet, I've tried restarting my laptop, updating drivers, and reinstalling drivers. Nothing has worked so far, so I ended up using another USB port on my device that was able to recognize my mouse. Fast forward up to now a second USB port now has the same issue of Unkown USB Device (Port Reset Failed). Is there anything I can do? Thanks.
