Windows 10: Unknown user displayed in Windows home when I turn the pc on, but cannot see it in "other...

Hi,as said in the title when i turn the pc on i see an unknown user that i cannot see anywhere else, neither on the lock screen using Windows+L nor from the "other user" section from the settings.It could be the user that was used in the shop we bought the pc from. So that user used just to showcase the pc. Even this is strange to me, since it usually get cancelled when you get the pc, so i'm not sure where it comes from.I'm worried there's a security problem and I want to delete it.Also i'm seeing that, lately, the pc got slower and slower, so i'm wondering if that could be related. Display does not turn off when pc is idle

Just did all the suggestions. Did not work. Display does not turn off.

This issue was from the beginning when I downloaded Win 10. I had Win 8.1 and the display always turned off as I set it.

My pc is HP Pavilion Touchsmart 23 all-in-one. According to "checking for updated drivers on display and monitors", I always get the response that the drivers currently installed are the correct ones.

When an unknown account is listed in permissions it's usually due to the file or folder having had permissions for a user account on this PC that has since been deleted. Or, if the drive is an external drive that is used by several machines, an account that exists on another PC.

Either way, as the unknown user doesn't exist on this PC then having it listed in permissions doesn't grant access to any account that actually exists.

Hello,

Since I upgraded to Windows 10 I am seeing an account that I did NOT create. So I deleted it by going into Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > User Accounts > Manage Accounts then I click on the unknown user account and delete it. That said.... It
comes back. I have also followed the below suggestions from other posts and still does not seem to work.

Let’s try simple steps and check if the user account is detecting and try removing it.

  Press Windows key + R, type netplwiz and press Enter.
  
• 
  Check if the user account is appearing on the list.
  
  
• Click on user account and click on Remove. (If user account appear on the list).

Please advise.
