Windows 10: Unkown user account

Hello, I found an unknown user account named "User_123" on my laptop a couple of days ago. Though I deleted the account, I want to know how this account was created, as I do not remember making such a user account. I ran a full system scan through my third-party anti-virus package. I also downloaded and ran the "Microsoft Anti-Malware Signature Package", but nothing came up in the results of both of them. Apart from me, no one has any "physical" or remote access to my laptop. Has my laptop been hacked? How do I know if the system has been compromised? Thanks.

Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

 

I can't rename my user account

If you are using local account, I suggest you to follow the below steps to change the user name.

Please follow the steps to rename the user account in Windows 10.

a. In the search box, type user accounts and click on User Accounts.

b. Click on “Change your account name”

c. If it’s prompting for password please enter and click on Yes. If you do not have password click on Yes.

d. Enter the new user name.

e. Click on change name.

Problem with user accounts.

I suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: Initially, I suggest you to run the Microsoft account troubleshooter.

Step 2:

Now try to switch from Microsoft account to Local account and check.

Refer to these steps to convert Microsoft account into Local User account:
