Windows 10: Unlabeled Partition

I have an unlabeled partition in my pc, which was not in my pc few days ago. But today when i look at my disk management for some purpose i found that there has an unlabeled partition. I am not understanding what is this partition for. Does it has any particular task? Basically i had three partition in my HDD which was System Reserved, C: (Root) and D: (Home), but now as you can see there has an extra partition which is unlabeled. I have marked it with red color in the image.

If i merge that unlabeled partition with C: drive will there be a problem? If anyone can give me any kind of information and solution then it will be a great help for me.

W7 Hard drive partition issue

to get rid of that 100 meg windows partition that setup creates for you on a new install on a blank hdd:

- press shift+f10 when on the partition management screen in setup <-- this opens a command prompt
- diskpart <-- start the windows command line partition management tool
- list disk <--- list the installed hdds in this computer for the next step
- select disk 0 <- might have to replace 0 with the number of the correct disk
- clean <-- this will erase all data on the disk you selected one step up- dont use the wrong disk!
- create partition primary <- creates a primary partition taking up all space on the drive, adjust the command if necessary
- exit, exit to exit diskpart and the command prompt
- click refresh in partition manager and select your newly created partition and install to that

 

I want to run chkdsk /r on an unlabeled partition


Here is a response from a Macrium moderator for error code 10 on an EFI unlabeled partition:

It looks like the error is coming from your EFI system partition, which will not show up inside Windows. To fix errors in this partition, please do the following:

- Boot into Windows PE rescue media.
- Open up a command prompt.
- run the following commands:

"diskpart"
"list disk"
"select disk N", where N is the number of the disk you're booting from
"list part"
"select part M", where M is the number of the System partition
"assign"
"exit"

- Open up PE Explorer to check which drive letter has been assigned to your EFI system partition.
- Now from the command line, run "chkdsk E: /r", for whichever drive letter has been assigned.
- Wait for it to complete, then reboot.

Please let us know if this fixes the Error 10 messages.

 

Help! Data partition not showing under my computer

This is happening on a windows 2000 server. Our second partition of the system, for data is not showing under my computer. Here are the properties of it in disk management:





Now under logical drives its listed as F and shows free space available.

Suggestions on how to fix this?
