Windows 10: Unlicensed Product

I bought new HP laptop from online with in built windows. But I'm unable to create any Microsoft office products such as excel, word or PowerPoint. For example when I opened an excel it displays at the top Excel (unlicensed product) and when I clicked it is asking for product key.


The machines detects the operating system installed is Windows 10 Home Single Language 64-bit. I also didn't find any sticker in my laptop.

Let me know whether this OS doesn't have the office inbuilt. And advise I how can this be resolved.

If that does not resolve this for you, follow these steps to perform a full repair of your Office installation . . .

Open Control Panel - Programs and Features

Click Microsoft Office in the list of installed applications

At the top, click 'Change'

On the resulting dialog, click 'Repair' - choose the Online Repair, it is a comprehensive fix

That should fix any issues with your Office Installation . . .

First which version of office you are using and what license you have acquired?

If Office activation fails, you'll see Unlicensed Product or Non-commercial use / Unlicensed Product in the title bar of your Office apps, and most features of Office are disabled. To restore all features of Office, you'll need to fix the problem that's causing
activation to fail.
