Windows 10: UNLINKING EMAIL ACCOUNTS

I am going crazy trying to UNLINK my gmail and my Hotmail. I DO NOT want to delete either but that seems to be my only option as what I have read I DO NOT have the option to UNLINK....AND I am NOT getting my gmails or able to send any gmails. I am losing jobs because I can't unlinkHELPKim

"Unlinking email accounts" I do not recall setting up an app. all I know is it had been working ok until Feb 19
and I opened my email and I had 516 msg. When I tried to delete some of them, nothing happened. on the left hand side where it listed my email accounts, it now showed combined email accounts, where before they were listed separately. I have no idea what
happeed after I put my computer to sleep and when I woke it up on Feb 18. I am just an average user so I really can not explain what happened.

The app will be the program you use to access the emails - outlook, windows mail, web based mail etc.

I am taking a total guess here, but some mail programs offer the ability to access emails from multiple email accounts (eg: Hotmail, gmail etc). The next step is that some mail programs have the option to have a combined inbox that shows emails from all
email accounts in one list. Is this what you are experiencing?

If I am on the right track, then there is also in the folder list an option to view each individual email account in its own right - might be as simple as looking for this.
