  1. Unnamed folders appearing on my desktop, Should i worry ?

After turning on my computer, I noticed a strange, unnamed folder that I could either delete, cut, or create a shortcut to. If I delete it, it simply reappears, and if I copy it somewhere, it just gives an error Non-implemented and i haven't checked if it does anything if a create a shortcut of itNote : i noticed that when pasting it somewhere, and, gives the error, it gives me that the file is 3,12Mb, working in windows 11 by the way

    :)

  2. Undelatable, Unnamed Ghost Folders on Desktop

So, these appeared on my desktop randomly - they cannot be renamed, they appear to have no name - I can delete them via context menu, but they come back. Unlocker/Lock Hunter - they do not see them, neither does Explorer, WinRAR nor CMD.

The context menu on them is strange - it only has three options.

I checked both C:\Users\User\Desktop and C:\Users\Public\Public Desktop\ and neither of them have these folders in them. They only show on the desktop.

I would like to get rid of these permanently, any suggestions?

  3. People app suddenly shows all contacts as "Unnamed"

My wife got a Samsung Windows 7 phone, and the guy in the AT&T store helped import her contacts from her gmail and yahoo email accounts. Suddenly -- I think after the next time she did a synch -- all the contacts appear as "Unnamed". The names and numbers
are there, but the listing is useless since every entry appears as Unnamed.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks.

Strange folder appears listed under desktop

I think you're fine. I think you've just noticed the UsersFilesFolder , a virtual folder ( like Network, This PC, etc. ) that seems to mirror the contents of the user's profile folder.

    Quick Test:
    • In the EXplorer Address bar or a Run dialog, type: shell:UsersFilesFolderEnter
If that command opens the same folder you juist noticed, everything is fine.

It's normally always visible when viewing the rooted Desktop in Explorer:

    It has this special icon:

The icon can be shown or hidden on the Desktop via:
    • Settings >Personalization > Themes and clicking the Desktop icons settings link
