Windows 10: Unreal Engine crashing with EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION

Not sure what the issue is as its typically a memory issue, if I recall I had no issues with this previously so I can only imagine SOMETHING somewhere corrupted but I for the life of me cannot figure out where it is or even how to fix it. I've reinstalled the latest windows update, I reinstalled my graphics drivers, I'm about to try a clean boot and see if that'll solve some of my issues. I'm at a loss and cannot for the life of me figure out why this specific engine crashes.

Unreal Engine game crash with kernel32 and ntdll crash message have updated drivers and checked for corrupt files nothing has helped so far

the error message is as follows:

kernell32/ntdll error playing Unreal Engine games

Hi - thank you for responding.

I'm not sure what you mean. I don't exactly have unreal engine installed (I don't think).... I'm simply playing games built with Unreal Engine. I looked in my C drive and there was no C:/buildWork directory. Any other suggestions?

 

Can I uninstall Unreal Engine

If you don't have Unreal Engine installed, this may be carried by some games made with Unreal Engine. Uninstalling it will not affect your system, but some games may not run.
