Windows 10: Unreal Engine games freeze entire PC and requires hard restart, speculating that it’s a...

Unreal games i’ve tested include Rising Storm 2, Killing Floor 2, Fortnite, Outerworlds, etc. cause my PC to stop sending signal to my monitor makes my fans go crazy.

I thought the problem may be overheating, but I actively measure my temps while playing games and everything seems pretty average. CPU at 40 degrees, GPU 40-60, MOBO 30-35 on average.

I’d also say it was a overheating issue but i’m able to run games like GTA V, Dayz, DOOM, Dying light, Minecraft with heavy shaders, etc. with little to no issues. Further making it an Unreal engine problem.

I recently upgraded my MOBO and CPU so it’s neither of those. No artifacting so it’s probably my GPU.

I’ve had this problem for almost a year now and I remember sometime between now and then I did a clean wipe of my PC and the problem stopped for a while, but eventually came back.

Unreal Engine launcher bug

When i go to open the “Epic Games Launcher” to open unreal engine 4 it just says its loading and then doesn’t open

Help needed with Unreal Engine games stuttering on my rig

It seems that on my rig I have a stuttering issue with some Unreal engine based games. Some of them just seem to stream really badly whereas others are flawless, it's really hit and miss. Most notably and recently the problem games have been "Bulletstorm & Alice: Madness Returns".

Here's a full list of the games which stutter on my rig using the Unreal Engine
