Infinity Foot Pedal unrecognised by pc

    Hi ValChester,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand how something like this can really try your patience. However, let’s try to fix this issue with the following steps.

It is an indication of corrupted loaded drivers. By default, Device Manager only displays drivers of
connected devices, sometimes windows can get "confused" with the old drivers in the system. This can be resolved by clearing up the old drivers and installing the generic drivers.

Could you please help me with the below questions:

    • Do you get any error message when you start the application?
    • Did you connect the device to another computer and check if it is working?

    Step 1: I
suggest you to run the troubleshooter provided by Microsoft on Automatically
diagnose and fix Windows USB problems
    .

    Step 2: Change settings.

To save power, Windows will automatically shuts down the power to USB ports. To prevent this, I suggest you to follow these steps:

    1. Press Windows and R key together on your Keyboard.
    2. Type devmgmt.msc and hit enter.
    3. Expand Universal serial bus controller.
    4. Double click on USB Root hub device.
    5. Select Power management tab.
    6. Uncheck the option Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
    7. Click on Ok and close the device manager. Check if the device is working fine now.

I would also suggest you to follow the troubleshooting steps mentioned in the article
HP PCs - Troubleshooting USB Connections (Windows 10, 8).

    Step 3: Uninstall the driver.

    1. Press Windows and R key together on your Keyboard.
    2. Type devmgmt.msc and hit enter.
    3. Expand Universal serial bus controller.
    4. Check if any of the driver has yellow triangle next to it.
    5. Right click on the driver and uninstall it.
    6. Unplug the device from the PC and restart the computer.
    7. Plug in the device back in a different port and check if it works.

I would suggest you to install the Chipset drivers from the computer’s manufacturer website. For more information, check the Microsoft article on
    How to: Install
and Update Hardware Drivers in Windows 10
    by Andre Da Costa.

    Hope it helps.

unrecognised external hard drive on Windows 10

    Hi,

Your External Hard Drive might not have been configured correctly on your Windows 10 PC.

We suggest that you update the device driver. You can do that by following these steps:

    • Select the Start button, type Device Manager, and select
it from the list of results.

    • Expand the category where your device is located (Disk Drives), then right-click on the name of your device, and select Update Driver Software.

    • Select Search automatically for updated driver software.

If Windows doesn't find a new driver, you can try looking for one on the device manufacturer's website and follow their instructions.

If updating the device driver doesn't work, we suggest that you reinstall the driver:

    • Open Device Manager.

    • Right-click on the name of the device.

    • Select Uninstall.

    • Restart your PC and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.

Let us know how it goes.

    Regards.
