    Unrecognized Device since Windows 10 update


    Since this latest Windows 10 update, a lot of my usual websites are repeatedly having me log in as if it's my very first time and once in, telling me it's an unrecognized device. This has been going on consistently since the upgrade. Is this a known issue. Some sites are not letting me in at all. I'm having to use my cell phone to gain access which works, but isn't what I prefer to work off of. Thanks for any help.

    Are you still around?

    Sorry if none of that helped. I have tried pretty much everything else that has been suggested by others such as:

    Uninstalling the unrecognized device and restarting

    Uninstalling the USB drivers and restarting.

    Trying every USB port on my computer.

    Updating the drivers for every device

    listed under universal serial his controllers in the device manager.

    Please reply, I know there's got to be a way to fix this.

    Thank you for trying to help , i did tried your suggestion but it did not work :/ , nothing seems to make it work on Windows 10 Fall Creators Update 1709. In the meantime i have bought a new SoundBlasterX AE-5 and it did installed flawlessly , no problems whatsoever. it is up to Creative ( drivers ) and Microsoft ( bug fix ) to fix this huge bugs with Audio.

    How to stop Windows 10 from automatically installing new and updated drivers constantly (particularly for GPU users with stable drivers)

    • Right click "My Computer"
    • Click "Properties"
    • Click on "Hardware" tab
    • Click "Device Installation Settings"
    • Tick the "No, let me choose what to do"
    • Tick "Never install driver software from Windows Update"
