Windows 10: Unremovable icons on Desktop

Hello,I just bought a laptop with Windows 11 first time using and first thing I noticed was a bunch of icons on my desktop. Pictures, Music, Documents, Videos, Desktop, Downloads and Quick Access. First I thought these are shortcuts but I can't delete them. They also show path back to C:/Users/MyName and there I can find them but still can't delete them from desktop. Trying to move them to some folder is only creating shortcut. I look all over internet and no one seems to have my problem. Please, help me to get rid of those icons from my desktop. Thank you in advance.

Remove Linux Desktop Icons

I am not sure whether this will work (Ubuntu does not have icons like that on the desktop by default), but I suggest opening the trash bin and sweeping the icons into the window showing the trash bin.

 

Desktop Icons Won't Stay Put

As per the issue description I understand that you are facing issues with desktop icons.

I suggest you try the following step in order to arrange the icons.

• Right click on the desktop.
• Click on view
• Check the option auto arrange icons.
