Windows 10: Unresponsive keyboard/touchpad after update

Hello, I have a Lenovo T530 laptop. Until yesterday 9/2/2023,it was running fine. Yesterday morning, I did a scan to find outdated drivers. Found 7 of them. Updated them one at a time. After putting in the last one Did not know what it was for and restarting the machine, there was no cursor. Windows started up ok, but the touchpad won't work. Also, nothing on the keyboard worked except the FN keys. None of the FN solutions helped. My computer is now severed from everything, no means to interface with it except turning it on/off and BIOS. Can you help me reconnect with my digital friend?

Windows 10 Update Renders Touchpad Unresponsive

Method 1: Troubleshoot.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your touchpad. Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel
• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
• Run the Hardware and devices troubleshooter.

If the issue still persists try next method.

Method 2.

Try updating the Touchpad drivers from the manufacturer's website and check if the issue persists.

Follow the steps to update the Touchpad drivers:

a. Press Windows key + X key and click Device Manager.

b. Expand the hardware and devices.

c. Right-click on the Touchpad drivers and click on Update driver software.

d. Restart the computer and check.
