Windows 10: Unstable WIFI whenrunning some apps

I have strange issue with WIFI connection in some situations. I am using Dolby Access App from Microsoft Store. I noticed the Dolby app is loading for a very long time 20 seconds last few days. Usual loading time is about 2 seconds. I started to investigate what causing this issue and when the Dolby app is loading, my network WIFI speed drops to approx. 0.05 mbps and until the app is fully loaded this speed is so low. Usually I have wifi speed 90 - 100 mbps. When I use LAN cable and run Dolby app, it loads quickly and I do not have issues with connection speed.


Bad thing is that sometimes it drops connection also when listening and app is already running, so playback stops sometimes cause it cannot dowload data from Tidal server due to low speeds. I tried to run speed test and run other apps, it looks like that connection speed drops also when running Discord voice chat and launching Microsoft Edge.

OS: Windows 10 20H2 build 19042.870

HW: Lenovo y520 laptop

WIFI Adapter: Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265


What I have already tried:

- reinstall Dolby Access app

- restart router multiple times

- uninstall wifi adapter from Device Manager

- update adapter drivers

- set Google DNS

- tried another wifi - issue persists

- tried mobile hotspot from mobile device - issues persists



So it looks that it is not an issue with my network, because when using mobile data issue is the same. Via LAN cable everything is ok. So I dont know if it is software bug or something with the WIFI Adapter..

Highly Unstable Wifi Connection

From the day I bought my computer, my wifi-conectivity has been unstable. It has always been annoying me, but recently the coonection has become so unstable that I daily feel the urge to throw the laptop against a wall or out the window... So I hope somebody
can give me the advice that will finally fix my wifi-problems.

The things is that my computer often disconnects (sometimes every 5 minutes or less) from the internet. When I click the wifi-icon, I usually can see my own network and the computer appears to be connected (but it doesn't work). Usually I can see lots of
networks around me, but they vanish from the list when I lose the connection (though my own stays).

I have tried restoring the computer to its original state (I bought it with Windows 8 and updated it to Windows 10), updating the networking drivers, followed all the steps on

this page. I have run the various diagnostic tools I've been made aware of on different homepages, too. Nothing seems to work at all.

Can anybody tell me what I can do to fix my connection.

Computer: ASUS X550JX

OS: Windows 10 (upgraded from Windows 8), 64 Bit.

Network Related: Card and drivers all come from Realtek.

 

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

 

unstable internet over wifi- just started after couple years with same

I've been using this wifi set up for a long time, years, really. all the sudden tonight 12/23/2018 it becomes unstable,

. causes mew to manually reestablish connection only to again drop it. any suggestions?
