Windows 10: Unused 11GB recovery partition

Discus and support Unused 11GB recovery partition in Windows 10 Drivers and Hardware to solve the problem; I have an unused 11 GB recovery partition. Is it OK to delete it?     Unused 11GB recovery partition


    I have an unused 11 GB recovery partition. Is it OK to delete it? If not what should I do with it?

    Windows 10 upgrade makes huge recovery partition


    Thanks, I used to tool to delete the partition, but couldn't resize my system drive from that software, so i did it through windows disk management. The software although gave wrong figures for my C, with unused space showing 0 when it was 11gb. The file system was categorized as other for C, while the recovery partition was NTFS.

    The recovery was an image folder of factory settings.
    @genet was right about the partition type being GPT, thanks for the info.

    Thanks guys i gained precious 6.4 gb space back.

    How To: Create recovery partition.

    it worked when i copied all the files of the disk to the recovery partition i created, but i had to use WinPE tab to add the entry.

    Type: WIM Image (Ramdisk)
    Name: Recovery
    Path: Z:\Sources\boot.wim
    and hit Add Entry
    I tried it in VirtualBox and it worked.
    At first, it would add a second "Windows 7" entry to the list, but when the installation is finished, the old one is deleted. (I formatted only C: partition)

    Hello, I see that you are having issues with recovery partition. I would suggest you using the diskpart command in the command prompt. First, open up the comand prompt as an administrator, then type in diskpart. Now, type in list disk, and look for the
    recovery partition drive. Follow the steps in the link below:
