Windows 10: unusual delay when shutting down PC

    unusual delay when shutting down PC


    Hi guys,
    on my 6700K rig I've noticed today unusual delay when I click to shutdown PC,and for sure it wasn't like this before.
    Immediately monitor turns off but rig not,there is like almost 1 min delay for rig to power off after I clicked shutdown in W10,even after first power ON (no programs running,just desktop).
    What could cause such issue?
    I suspect it's WI-FI card built into motherboard,I mean wi-fi connection,but not sure.
    I know usually wifi makes those kinda hangs/delays when power on/off.

    • When did the delay start to happen?
    • Were there changes made prior to the matter at hand?
    • Have you recently installed updates on your PC?
    • Have you tried updating the drivers?
    • What are the troubleshooting steps that you have performed in an attempt to resolve the case at bar?

    PC Build Steps

    Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval
    • Install system in case
      • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
    • Turn on PC
    • setup HDD
    • run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
      • run realtemp at the same time
    • While in Prime95 test
      • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
      • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
      • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!
    What do you guys think??
