Windows 10: Unwanted ads popping on my screen

Down in the lower right-hand corner of my screen, Microsoft occasionally brings up an advertising window offering to sell me Flight Simulator. This is a VIOLATION of the TRUST that I place in Mircorsoft to not abuse the power it wields by being in control of my operating system. I did not consent to be spammed by Microsoft simply because it controls my operating system. YOU HAVE VIOLATED ME AND MY TRUST, YOU HAVE MADE ME FEEL POWERLESS TO STOP YOU FROM INVADING MY SCREEN WITH UNWANTED ADVERTISING. AND NOW YOU THINK I AM GOING TO BE RECEPTIVE TO BUYING SOMETHING?!?!?!? I WILL NEVER, NEVER,

Depends on what is popping up the ads, what they look like, etc.



Turn off notifications / suggestions thru settings for Windows 10 in general.



Get a ad-blocker installed for the web browser of your choice.



Scan your system with MalwareBytes (free) and SuperAntiSpyware (free) and remove everything they find.

Have a new computer, Windows 10, love it but have an ad for Internet Auto Guide that keeps popping up. Have it listed to be blocked but still pops up. Why?

If you are facing this issue on Internet Explorer, then follow these steps to reset the Internet Explorer settings to default and check the status.
