    Unwanted apps appearing after incorrect download


    Today I downloaded something I quickly removed it because it wasn't the real one but then Avast Free Antivirus popped up along with SAntivirus. I want to know if they are safe or not. I cant find out how to delete Avast it's not in my settings or control panel, but it's in my "recently added" tab.

    If it's a UWP app (Store app) then you can try here:

    If that means you were using a browser, there may be a download record.

    download Windows camera app

    Success in resetting Store; that produced a download of the Windows camera, despite seeing error message again, download proceeded. Screen shows MS app for Windows camera and indicates downloaded. (Camera now listed in app list.) But when Launch was selected,
    no action after screen with camera icon. Eventually message appeared " something went wrong: here is message code if needed: 0x400F4271>MediaCaptureFailedEvent>0xC00D3704. We seem to be moving ahead a step at a time. Next suggestion?

    Deleting unwanted apps

    Update to windows 10 went a dream (a long one!) but I can't uninstall unwanted apps - they don't appear in the list when going to uninstall programs via the control panel. Are apps different from programs? Some programs I have installed appear in the
    'all apps' list.
