Windows 10: Unwanted Display Language US English Shows Up in SystemTray

I have my display language set to English Canada. It is the only language I have installed, but English US still shows up in the system tray. I've tried all the tricks so far: Installing it, then removing it; Copying settings for new user accounts in Administrative Language Settings; Removing it in the registry. It still shows up.

The US English is presently not installed, and there is no other language except a base language which came with W10 22H2. Edit: So I just installed the US English. That is it. The US English is greyed because I took the first step of "Add Language" and forgot completing whole steps.

I do not know which step of that tutorial you are referring to. Perhaps removing then re-adding US English & changing the display language using these separate tutorials will work better for you. Perhaps some people add languages but do not want to alter their display language. Perhaps you could ask for help / clarification by posting in one of that pair of tutorials. I had to go the other way round when I found that my display language was US English instead of UK English. I found it quite confusing. If I ever have a language meltdown I'll start off from scratch by clean installing with a UK English ISO-InstallUSB. All the best, Denis
