  1. Unwanted Password Storage

My computer seems to be storing the password for my password manager (Avira) somewhere and automatically logging my in/unlocking my passwords when I login to Windows 10. Where could the password be stored?

I'm using Google Chrome, have deleted all passwords from Chrome, turned off auto login and remembering passwords

I have used the 3rd party app "CredentialsFileView". It shows 10 credentials files but if it's there how would I identify it if it's there?

    :)

  3. passwords storage

    Hi John,

Remember this password option will help you with not typing the password every time you
sign in into that particular account. Checking this option after typing the password will save the same for that email address or user name you access.

Follow the steps below to View and Delete your saved logon information for website, connected application and network.

    • Press Windows key + X, select Control Panel.
    • Click View by and select large icons.
    • Click on Credential Manager.
    • Under web Credentials, you can select and remove the passwords.

    Hope this information help.

    Regards,

    Password issue

After going through the steps to make a new password, after a week or two, my login credentials are no longer valid. I'm forced to make a new password all over again. It seems to happen if I don't login in a certain period of time. Does our passwords expire???
