Windows 10: Upcoming change to release schedule for non-security Office updates

We want to let you know about an important change coming to the release schedule for Office updates so that you can plan accordingly. Until now, both security and non-security updates have been released on the second Tuesday of each month. Starting in April, the non-security updates will be released in Microsoft Update and the Windows Server Update Service (WSUS) on the first Tuesday of the month, which is April 5 in this case. This will include all updates that have the Critical or Definition classification. Updates with the Security classification will continue to release on second Tuesday as usual.

Windows Update Download & Share to another machine

Hi Prakash,

Updates are received according to the system configuration and installation of previous updates on the computer. Updates cannot be transferred from one computer to another.

You can download and update the computer by checking if the updates are released for that computer by
Checking for updates under Updates & Security.

Check if the updates are available on your computer by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved:

Press Windows logo + I keys on the keyboard to open
Settings window on the computer.

Select Update & Security and select Windows Update from the left side panel of the screen.

Click on Check for Updates and wait for the update to download.

Write to us with the status of receiving the updates on the computer in the same post for further assistance.

Hello,

My point of concern is most of the time Windows Update gets stuck at some point, after performing multiple clean-up & restart Windows Update starts from the scratch which is very annoying. It not just waste our internet data but time also.

Another Issue is related to Office 365 & 2016. I use Word, PowerPoint, Excel & Outlook ONLY. But Office setup doesn't have customization option & it installs all the features like OneNote, Skype, One/Skydrive, Lynch, etc. which is nothing but waste of disk
space, internet data in form of updates.

So I tried Office 2013, but its

so to update this I have to go through this long list

2. Download & Save updates

3. Pause / Resume Download

4. Install Updates

Windows 10 Security Updates taking over an hour to install - on a relatively new computer on which I have religiously installed the previous updates without any problem.

Some updates are larger / more complicated than others?

Setup your allowed time more to your liking?
