Windows 10: Update: 21H2 OS: 19044.1469 Auto update: Lost all files, desktop setup, Chrom favorites,...

Last night 1-19-22 Auto updated 21H2 OS: 19044.1469 caused desktop screen to lose all but 4 icons, printer gone, all data, music, picture files etc. missing. Apparently update disabled my USER profile, as all this info appears to be present using M/S File Explorer OS C > Users > my profile name. Is there an update from M/S to fix this M/S caused problem?Did some research and found "Restarting NOT Shut Down 4 times after seeing desktop screen each time" waited 3 to 4 mins after seeing each Desktop screen did not resolve issue; but appeared to fix some things. Author next suggested

The nine files that are updated all have to do with the Auto-Updater itself.
The article lists them all. No big deal.

I run auto-update anyway, so BRING ON THE NEW UPDATES !!!
I have yet to experience any problems from MS updates on my XP network.

• Which browser are you using? Is it Microsoft Edge or IE?

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Check Favorites folder in User profile.

• 
  Open C: Drive.
  
• 
  Select User.
  
• 
  Select user profile.
  
• 
  Click on Favorites.
  
• 
  If you’re able to see the favorites list, then you will be able to import the Favorites from there.

Your suggestion does not work. It did work on Windows 7.
