  1. Update 24H2 killed my Win 10 Computer and Wiped out my Apps and Tax records

As fate would have it, I was preparing to install RDrive as a secondary backup on my Win 10 computer and my HDD went into a tailspin. According to the Taskbar, it pegged at 100 percent and there was no way to stop it, run the troubleshooter or delete the mandatory update or stop it. It also wiped out my six restore points when I booted in safe mode. I tried gpedit and turned it off and still could not get it to stop. I turned off Startup on every app, nothing. I spent two hours on the phone with Acronis trying to get my backup apps with a bare metal install and it worked for several hours unti

    Forced update wiped my computer.

I just booted up and found that Microsoft did a forced update that wiped my computer clean. It is now like an out of the box brand new computer save for virus software, quicken, and turbo tax. No pictures, no files, my business is gone, no favorites. Nothing.
Any suggestions? I am out of business.

    Wipe and install Win 7

    Confusing.
I assume you mean "not happy" instead of "beyond happy".

At the very least you'll need:
    1. A legitimate W7 install disk and Product Key
    2. KB976932 Service Pack 1
    3. Driver install files
    4. KB3020369 Prerequisite for KB3125574
    5. KB3125574 W7 SP1 Update Rollup (Windows will be updated to April 2016)

    Then follow this tutorial:
    https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorial...ndows-7-a.html

Once you have successfully installed W7, the updates listed above and the drivers, install a program like Macrium Reflect and create at least 2 Backup System Images (on different external HDDs).

Once you have created the Backup System Images, you can risk downloading the remaining updates for W7.
I only install the Security-Only updates (and some fixes for them):

    Note:
You'll also need to apply IE and .NET updates separately.
