Windows 10: Update disabled ports?can’t access anything!

Hi allTurned on my sons pc todayall was good last nightNow not recognising any ports or monitor.Tried cables,tried rebooting,tried flash drive eith windowsport not workingany ideas.My son is neuro diverse ,has a project to complete and now increasing in distress.Cannot access bios etcAny help appreciated Hayden

Port is being blocked

• Are you aware of any changes that happened on the computer prior to this issue?
  

Upon researching, this seems like an issue due to the port scan. You may want to try the steps listed below and check if it works.

• Login to your Netgear
  NX6200 Extender GUI.
  
• Click on Advanced tab and choose
  WAN Setup.
  
• Check the box for Disable Port Scan and DoS Protection.
  
• Allow it to update and check if the port is still being blocked.

Disable a USB Port

Hi Eduardo

Disabling that USB Port, may also disable any ports beside it, do you have USB ports on another part of your PC?

Open Device Manager (accessible by right clicking your Start Button)

At the bottom of the device list, expand the 'Universal Serial Bus Controllers' section

How many devices have 'Hub' in the name, is there more than 1?

If so, right click one f those, then choose Properties and choose the Driver tab, is there an option to disable that there?

If that is the wrong hub, re-enable that and move to the next hub device, until you find the one for that USB port . . .
