Windows 10: update failed for 16241 home edition

Discus and support update failed for 16241 home edition in Windows 10 Installation and Upgrade to solve the problem; updated Windows 10 Home to bld 16241 from the iso made from another machine.     update failed for 16241 home edition


    updated Windows 10 Home to bld 16241 from the iso made from another machine. Was running Home edition and wouldn't install insider preview to 16241 so made the iso and installed that way. When I was done I now had unactivated version of windows 10 Pro. I thought everything was tied into digital lic with cpu?

    anyway around this?

    When did 16241 come out I'm still on 16237 and i checked for updates less than an hour ago

    EDIT: made a liar out of me i went to check again and it was sitting ready to install

    Something in a recent Windows 10 update stops installation of QUICKEN.

    I have both Quicken Deluxe versions 2015 and 2017 running just fine on my test desktops which are at 16241. These desktops have been running just fine since around 16215 with every update since. Tomorrow I'll try installing Quicken on a partition where
    I have 16241 which currently doesn't have Quicken & see what happens.

    It's not activating because you had a Home license and you upgraded to Pro.
