    Update Failed Install from Windows 11 21H2 to 23H2


    Good evening,I am having trouble with Microsoft HOME PC software update from Windows 11 21H2 OS Build 22000.2538 to 23H2. I have made numerous attempts 4x to fix this problem to no avail. Here are a list of options that I have tried:sfs /scannowDISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealthSettings > Troubleshoot > Other Troubleshooters > Windows Update > RunThe first couple of attempts resulted in my PC stalled and I had to do "Uninstall Latest Quality Update" and "Uninstall Feature Update". It has been over a month so I cannot remember which one of these two performed an uninstal

    Windows Updates failed to instal

    I just did step one and they have just all installed.... thank you so much.... it was quite frustrating having that update window pop up every 5 minutes and failing to instal every time

    Welcome to Ten Forums, though really you should be looking to the sister site Eleven Forum for answers. Your Windows 11 21H2 has passed its end of support date. It really isn't worth trying to fix the Windows Update issues as it would only get the last update for October 2023 anyway.

    The build number 22631.2506 implies the device has been upgraded to 23H2 already.

    Here are the version/build numbers for Windows 11.

    • 22000.xxx is 21H2
    • 22621.xxx is 22H2
    • 22631.xxx is 23H2
