    Update Failing with Error Code: 0xc1900101-0x30018


    I am trying to update Windows 10 on an HP Laptop. The system has Windows 10 home version 1809 OS build 17763.1577. I have tried upgrading to version 1903 and 22H2. When trying to upgrade to version 1903 I get the error 0xc1900101-0x30018. I have used Windows update and the Media Creation Tool and get the same error for both. I have run update troubleshooter, CHKDSK, SFC, DISM, and updated all drivers, bios updates, etc. I run SetupDiag.exe and got the error: SetipDiag reports rollback failure found, Last Phase: Pre SysPrep Last Operation: Upgrade security Error: 0xc1900101-0x30018.     Same here, have tried it at least three times to no avail. Installation gives a BSOD after second reboot at 32% of installation (6% of apps and drivers). It tries to resurrect the installation, fails, and rolls back to original OS, Windows 7 Ultimate, in my case. On return to W7 it gives the dreaded error code 0xc1900101-0x30018. Will be following this thread to see if any possible solution arises.

    Edit: During one of my attempts, I unplugged the USB drive and the Wifi USB, this did not help unfortunately.
