Windows 10: Update KB4549951 - ERROR 0X800f0986

    Update KB4549951 - ERROR 0X800f0986


    I have not been able to download and install this successfully since it was released and I have no idea why. I have tried all the command prompts that are supposed to help. I did get a successful install or so I thought once, but as soon as I got back on my pc the next day it still said I needed to update my pc to KB4549951. This is incredibly frustrating because this is causing BSOD's and I don't know what to do about it. All drivers are up to date, the troubleshooter just keeps telling me it needs to restart but that does absolutely nothing. I have also tried the optional update KB4550945 and that also will not install. PLEASE HELP ME. I am so done with this..

    KB4551762 update fails repeatedly, gives Error 0x800f0986

    I am running Windows 10 Pro, 1909, x64 and all other updates have installed successfully except KB4551762. I was unable to find any other posts similar to my problem. The actions I have done so far are:
    - Ran Troubleshooter for Windows updates....no problem found.
    - Manually downloaded/installed KB4551762 with same results...failed with Error 0x800f0986.
    - Restarted into Safe Mode but the Windows Updates didn't seem to work, just got a blank screen with Windows updates at top.
    - Checked Device Manager for any problems but nothing showed bad.
    - Checked my disk space, more than 100GB free space.
    At this point I need some help so any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks in advance.

    Update error - (KB4551762) -Error 0x800f0986

    My PC is currently having problem with updating system

    it keeps showing messages underneath.

    'Device missing important security and quality fixes'

    2020-03 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1903 for x64-based Systems (KB4551762) -Error 0x800f0986

    What should I try since even reset and formatting the system cannot be done for errors.

    Update KB4549951 - ERROR 0X800f0986

    Cumulative updates - April 14 2020

    OS Name Microsoft Windows 10 Pro Version 10.0.18363 Build 18363 Servicing Stack Updates are installed.

    When I try to update from Windows Update:

    2020-04 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1909 for x64-based Systems (KB4549951) - Error 0x800f0986

    When I download KB manually and try to install it :

    Windows update "Update for Windows (KB4549951)" could not be installed because of error 2148469126
