Windows 10: Update KB4586786 Not Working, Online Fixes not Helping, Along with an Activate Windows...

Basically, when booting up my PC A custom build a few days ago, it started repairing files and since then, I've been having issues. Notably, the activate windows watermark. When troubleshooting that online, I was told to try updating my PC. When I tried to update my PC, one of the updates didn't work and I keep getting error message 0x800f0988. All of the fixes I have found online haven't worked, troubleshooting Windows Update or Windows Activation only detects a problem rather than fixing it, and I am at my wit's end. Please help me.

Thank you for trying to help , i did tried your suggestion but it did not work :/ , nothing seems to make it work on Windows 10 Fall Creators Update 1709. In the meantime i have bought a new SoundBlasterX AE-5 and it did installed flawlessly , no problems whatsoever. it is up to Creative ( drivers ) and Microsoft ( bug fix ) to fix this huge bugs with Audio.

FIXED!! Windows 7 sp1 never ends searching for updates

@P4-630 , you can try and skip that step and see if it works. Just get the update manager and CPU load fix.
If it does not work, you can always try one more time. *Toast :toast:
