Windows 10: Update KB5010414 crashes my computer

After installing the update it takes about a minute and a half for explorer.exe to load. After it loads all programs take longer to launch and explorer.exe crashes. I am unable to do anything while it loads on boot up because I don't have a taskbar. After I use restore all is fine. I have tried to install this update 3 times and the same thing happens every time. Any help would be appreciated. My computer information is:XPS 894011th Gen IntelR CoreTM i9-11900K processor 8-Core, 16M Cache, 3.5GHz to5.3GHzWindows 11 Home English 1 EA - -NVIDIAR GeForceR

I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

W1zzard is asking you to test so that he can suggest next steps and be able to troubleshoot the issue you have.
If another version works, it would be one set of steps.
If several other versions also fail/crash, then it would be another.

 

Add-Ons for Firefox crash since update to 80

I left Firefox open over night and attempted to login to LastPass this morning - all the addons crashed. I had Firefox Task Manager open at the time and before attempting the login all addons were in the list and not using very much resources. After attempting login, all of the addons disappeared from the Firefox Task Manager list.

I will try the additional suggestions.

If I want to try a new profile without losing my saved/sync profile (and hopefully with the option of syncing my data back into the new profile) what steps should I take? Or is it just a given that if it is profile corruption, the sync profile is junk...?
