Windows 10: update kb5013943

This update caused issues with software and my f-secure safe is affected. I understood that microsoft was to issue a fix but i still have the problem. Have i missed something since may when the offending update was issued?

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

kb5013943 uninstall

I checked KB5013943 through Windows Update History and there were no index issues or BUG reports. The problem may be caused by the index itself.

Here I give you the method of rebuilding index, please operate to see if you can use the search function after rebuilding.

1. Click Search on Taskbar and open Control Panel.
   
   Note: Depending on the version of Office you're using, you might need to click the Start button, and on the Start menu, right-click Control Panel.
   
2. Do one of the following:
   
   • Choose Indexing Options.
     
   • In the Search box, type Indexing, and then choose Indexing Options.
     
3. In the Indexed Locations dialog box, under Change selected locations, select the check box for the location you want to modify, and then click OK.
   
4. In the Advanced Options dialog box, on the Index Settings tab, under Troubleshooting, click Rebuild
   
5. Restart your PC and try to see if the results show up
