Windows 10: Update KB5015807

Discus and support Update KB5015807 in Windows 10 Installation and Upgrade to solve the problem; This update does not seem to include the OS build for my laptop.     Update KB5015807


    This update does not seem to include the OS build for my laptop. The OS build is 21H2 19044.1766 which I do not see for those included for the update. Should I just install the update any way?The laptop is a Gateway GWTN141-1 64-bit Windows 10 S mode.

    Windows Update KB5015807 Fails to Install on one Windows 10 Desktop

    I am having an issue with one desktop that fails to install KB5015807 on WIndows 10. I have done the following to try and correct the issue but it still fails.

    1. Ran SFC and DISM

    2. Stopped all windows update services, deleted the Update download folder

    3. Tried to manually install using files from Microsoft Update Catalog

    4. Ran the Windows Update Troubleshooter

    5. Deleted Temp Files

    I've wasted hours trying to resolve this to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Errors in Event Viewer

    Package KB5015807 failed to be changed to the Installed state. Status: 0x800f0922. Event ID 3

    Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x800F0922: 2022-07 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 21H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5015807).

    Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
