Update KB5023706 for Win 11 Causes very difficult sign-in and slows down operation of computer

Hello, My name is Kent. After receiving Update KB5023706 to my Windows 11 computer, it becomes nearly impossible for me to log on to Windows. I get the log in screen, enter my email address, and then, after about 25 seconds I am presented with the Password screen for about 6 or 7 seconds, If I don't enter my password and press Enter within that 6 or 7 seconds, the screen goes black. I then must do a power reset to get another attempt to sign into Windows. If I am lucky enough to get my password entered within the 6 or 7 seconds, then the 'waiting circle' appears for about a half-minute

    :)

  3. KB5023706 - Bug: To much space between taskbar icons

    Hi,

follwing system: Notebook running with Windows 11 Version 22H2 (Build 22621.1413), no touchdevice, used als workstation pc with external keyboard, mouse and two displays additional to internal nootbookdisplay.

After installing win update KB5023706 space between the taskbar icons become to much(screenshot). I found no solution, someone wrote that is caused by windows using touchdevice, but this option ist not visible in my seetings, so i cant deactivate it. Im not using any touchdevice.

So next step deinstallation from update KB5023706. After deinstallation icon spacing normal again. But yesterday windows was running an forced update of KB5023706. Now i have the bug again.

Is there any solution, or have a to avoid KB5023706 for ever? Hope someone can help me.

    Experiencing slowness onthe computer.

    Hi,

I appreciate if you could answer few questions to narrow down to the issue.

    • What is the make and model of the computer?

    • Was it an upgrade or an update?

    • If it was an upgrade, which was the previous operating system installed on the device?

    • If it was an update which update did you install?
I would like to inform you that it is bit difficult to pin point on what exactly causes the issue, however we will narrow down the issue one by one and find a suitable solution.

As an initial troubleshooting step, I suggest you to run the
System Maintenance troubleshooter which finds and clean up unused files and shortcuts and performs maintenance tasks.

    • Press Windows key and type Troubleshooting.
    • Select Troubleshooting and hit Enter.
    • Click on View all in the left pane of the window.
    • Select System Maintenance.
    • Click Next and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the troubleshooting process.
Also check if the computer is using its full memory.

    • Press Windows key + R and type msconfig.
    • Go to Advance options and check if you have chosen use Maximum memory.
If not, I suggest you to place a check mark, restart the computer and check if that helps.

Hope the information helps in resolving the computer slowness. Let us know if you need further assistance. We will be happy to help.

    Thank you.
