Windows 10: Update KB5033372 always fails with error 0x80070057. All other updates working normally

A while ago this specific update failed to install on my laptop. It constantly fails to install and even with me trying to manually install downloading from the Microsoft update catalog https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=KB5033372 and it never works. After trying the multiple trouble shooting steps without success, I just hidden the update temporarily with the tool Microsoft provides to do it, and all updates were installing normally; Now I'm back on this because of the "Missing important security fixes" message.I found this question https://answers.microsoft.com/en-

I ran all the cmds you listed and all were find. Indicated no problems.

Ran the Windows Update. Still Failed.

Downloaded it per your link and it installed successfully.

Interestingly, when I run Windows Update, it still shows this:





For now, I'm going to assume that once it runs an automatic check it will clear that out.

No need to be sorry. I'm not expecting you to be sitting there as my real time support assistant . I do really appreciate your help though.

So, I went through the suggestions in the links I posted. The sfc /scannow had failed in normal boot mode. The recommendation was to run it in safe mode, which was my last attempt. It came back stating there were no issues, and finished fine. WFT?

Anyway, I now will go down the path of your suggestions above.

P.S. - By the way, I'm back to the 0x80070057 error. System is schizophrenic.

 

Windows 10 anniversary update fails with 0x80070057 error.

Everyday windows update logs was showing error 0x80070057. I have tried all the steps listed on internet. Finally Antonio's post help me solve the issue. Shutting down Cloudfogger did not work, but uninstalling and restarting pc solves the issue.
