  2. Installation of KB5034122 fails with error 0x8007025d

Cumulative security update KB5034122 fails repeatedly on my Windows 10 Home 22H2 (19045.3448).

Before this the KB5034441 also failed, but I successfully followed the instructions to extend the WinRE partition by 250M and managed to get this installed in the end.

I've also tried to download the msu package for KB5034122 and install manually from elevated command prompt: wusa "c:\updates\windows10.0-kb5034122-x64_de14dfac8817c1d0765b899125c63dc7b581958b.msu" /quiet /norestart /log:"C:\updates\KB5034122.evtx"

Unfortunately the log output is in Norwegian due to my locale so pasting directly may not be of much help. The contents of the error from the log translates to something like: "The specified buffer contains ill formed data." I'm unsure if these are the exact words since I have to translate myself. ErrorCode listed in parallel is 2147943005 (converts to hex 8007025d).

I have also tried to reset the Win Update cache using the approach given here: Redirecting

I have yet to follow the steps given under "if you encounter hurdles", but as I've seen from other posts reinstallation using recovery disk has not been helpful for other users. Also, the PC does not meet the requirements to upgrade to 11.

Any suggestions to what I may try to resolve this?

Update KB5034122 fails to install with error 0x800f0923.

    Windows 10, version 22H2, x64 based system.

I've tried running the update trouble shooter, disc cleanup, running DISM scans, restarting in safe mode, deleting the installation file and manually downloading a new one through Microsoft. This is a stubborn problem that I am struggling to resolve!
