Windows 10: update KB5040427

All new updates from July are affecting Roland printer but tried to unistall KB5040427 and wont let me

KB5039211 Some update files are missing or have problems. 0x8007000d

Hi, sorry about the delay. Ran all the suggested steps, and shut down the PC for the night.

As of this morning, I have only KB5040427 listed in the Windows Updates.

Unfortunately it failed with:

Some update files are missing or have problems. We'll try to download the update again later. Error code: (0x8007000d).

So, the original issue appears to be resolved I think because this update is new as of Tuesday, correct? I don't see the other updates anymore.

KB5040427 Installs but when I reboot it asks to install again.

I recommend using the “Show or Hide Updates” troubleshooter to hide the problematic update. Windows Update won’t install hidden updates. Run the troubleshooter then please try to hide the KB5040427 update that will show in the list. You may try restarting your pc if it helps.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
