Windows 10: update messenger app on facebook for laptop unable to send messages can you help?

I am unable to send or answer messages on facebook on my laptop or iphone, what is wrong?

I also noticed the little icon for messenger and it seems like an update over the simple text messages, rather than a new installation. I think they have updated it because at least half the people on Facebook use the messenger app on their phones. I believe they want to use the same format across all universal devices for Facebook and hence why the simple text messages has probably been removed.

You could try to find an option for legacy mode but as far as I can see, I don't think there is one *Huh.

Or you could just stick with messenger. Personally I don't think its going to change and I can see certain common formats between both versions that have remained the same. You can of course choose to stick with the basic one mentioned in the workaround but chances are Facebook will soon update that too *Tongue.

You're quite right about the version. I'm out to kill the Facebook Messenger. Thought that possibly removing the Windows app might help, but it doesn't. Will look into the URL you suggested above. Thanks!

 

Facebook Marketplace Messages not showing in Messenger

My Facebook Marketplace messages are only shown in the apps on my phone and ipad but they are not on the Messenger app on my pc nor on the actual webpage. Other messages are ok. I have uninstalled the app on pc and restarted but nothing. Can anyone help please?
