Windows 10: update not finishing

I got couple of KB update on my settings. I tried to download it and it reaches 100 percent however it will revert back to zero as if nothing happen. Currently working on important things so I cant afford to wait for this update since it will restart my computer automatically. I need to finish this update.

• Tap on Windows Key and click on search bar.
• Type “Troubleshooting” without the quotes and click on
  Troubleshooting
• Then click on View All on the left panel of the screen.
• Click on Windows Update.
• Click on Next and follow the prompts to run the troubleshooter.

Windows 10 fails to update


When you finish testing the Avast suggestion, make sure that you restart your machine.

Then if the issue persists, please return to the trouble shooting list in post# 89

I think there are three steps that remain; the WU troubleshooter, reset WU components, and manual WU reset.

 

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
