Windows 10: Update of OneDrive insists on a password

I use a Mac. Today my computer offered me the opportunity to update some applications, and I just clicked the option to "Update all". One of the applications that was updated is OneDrive. As a Mac user who tries to avoid anything to do with Microsoft, I am not sure how or why OneDrive was on my computer in the first place. Since the update, OneDrive is insisting on me entering a password.There is a window with the message 'OneDrive wants to use your confidential information stored in "Microsoft Identity ABxxxxxx-Exxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx" in your keychain. Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

garybo125 thanks for your suggestion which I did but it did not resolve the issue with OneDrive insisting to use my contact's first email address instead of his second email address. Eventually I deleted my contact's first email address from my Outlook.com contacts list and OneDrive then added the correct address. It seems that if you have a contact with two email addresses OneDrive will always choose one and not the other!

Berton OneDrive may not use the built-in Contacts Folder in C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE as mine is empty but of course I cannot verify this.

Step 1 - Visit the Microsoft Account page and provide the login details to move on.

Step 2 - In the left sidebar, click on the Change password option, visible under your Microsoft ID.

Step 3 - Therefore, choose any of the options given to receive your code. After filling in the boxes, click Send code.
