    Update problem with office 2007


    I'm using win 10, build 10130, which seems to be for the most part working as advertised. However there
    is this little problem with updates for office 2007... It started downloading security updates for office
    it got to 14 percent and stopped downloading, Now every-time I go to updates, it still shows there
    are updates available with a list of updates and shows the download stopped at 14 percent...
    Is there someway to get it started again so that it will complete the updates.. It seems to be stuck..

    turning off get updates for other Microsoft products in windows update
    solved the problem.

    the problem started after i reinstalled ms office 2007 and then installed the updates for ms office 2007 from windows update. so it seems there is something in the ms office 2007 updates that caused a conflict for me

    im running win10 pro ver1511 with jan2017 windows updates.

    Update error Error 0x8007066f in Win 10

    Tried to install Win 10 updates for Office 2007 and got the following:

    • Security Update for Microsoft Office 2007 suites (KB2825645) - Error 0x8007066f

    • Security Update for Microsoft Office 2007 suites (KB2837610) - Error 0x8007066f

    • Security Update for Microsoft Office 2007 suites (KB3054888) - Error 0x8007066f

    • Security Update for Microsoft Office 2007 suites (KB3054890) - Error 0x8007066f

    Tried several times over several days. Turned off Virus protection and firewall on the off chance and no luck.

    Windows troubleshooting led me to a program that executed from Microsoft site and gave me the following results:

    Problems found

    Windows update components must be repaired. Fixed Followed by a green check mark.

    Unfortunately not fixed. Suggestions appreciated.

    You’ll have to uninstall office so windows ignores the updates and then install it again

    Ok tried that now it's stuck again, but at a different percent point. Methinks it's broken, guess I'll
    have to wait for the final product to come out and in the meantime just do without office.
