Windows 10: update screwed my computer

just wondering how many peoples computers have been f'd off because of an update that apparently should not have been released. I personally think a class action suit against microsoft from everyone affected by this BS of the nth magnitude. Think that would wake up the idiots at MS. I now have 3 computers that aren't worth ****!?!?!?!? Thanks an f'ing lot to your brain dead programmers MS. maybe if Bill's computer went down we might see some improvement. But until then I am wiping my machine and re-installing win7 because I had NO PROBLEM WHATSOEVER with that platform. WAKE UP BILL and smell the **** you have been flinging out to all your customers. maybe you should have your "TEAM" of idiots TEST these updates before they are released and F*** everything up.

• When you set up the account, did you create a local account or Microsoft account?
  
• What is the exact error message you get when you try to login?

I suggest you to check if you have activated two step verification for your account. If yes, I suggest you to turn it off and check.

Also check if the Windows Update was successfully installed on your computer.

• Press Windows Key + I and click on Update and Security.
• Under Windows Update tab, click on Advanced options
• Click on View update history and check if the update is installed properly.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Intel E5200 Gets Updated, R0 Stepping Coming Up

Intel's Pentium Dual-Core E5200 processor is getting on course for a specifications update. The chip will feature in a new, improved Wolfdale-2M core, spec'd out as the R0 stepping, from its current M0 stepping. The new stepping is intended to add new instructions, power-management features, and bring about changes in the chip-package. A short list of known changes is as follows:

• CPUID changed from 10677 to 1067A
• Power State Indicator (PSI) support with Intel 4 series chipsets
• New instructions - XSAVE and XRSTOR
• New S-spec and MM numbers
• New halide-free chip package

Due to the changed CPUID, users may require BIOS updates to detect the CPU. According to the company, E5200 R0 should be out by April 13.
