Windows 10: Update Stack Package - Version 1023.508.1122.0 completely messed up my bluetooth audio

My Bose QC 35II headphones started behaving erratically this morning. Last night everything was working fine. Checked the Windows Update history and the above stack package is showing as having installed today 19/05/2023. I removed the headphones and tried pairing again and it's unable to pair.Tried pairing a separate pair of no-name in-ear bluetooths I have used before and no joy either. I'm almost positive this update is the cause, because nothing else changed. How does one go about uninstalling it? Googling it returns no matches.Also, potentially a separate issue, but when I click on any

Intel 6230 Bluetooth stack

Wondering if anyone has an intel 6230 wifi + bluetooth mini pcie chip?

If so, do you happen to have a bluetooth stack for win7 64bit? I've tried both the default Microsoft stack as well as the Intel stack (Proset) but neither have profiles for phone audio (so i can't talk on my phone via bluetooth)

Any help would be awesome! *Smile

 

Intel Updates Core 2 Quad Q9550 to E-0 Stepping

We continue our Monday news list with another Intel story that brings to our attention information concerning the company and more specificly its 2.83GHz Core 2 Quad Q9550 chips that will move from the current C-1 to the newer E-0 stepping. The updated chips will start selling on August 22nd, featuring the following changes:

• New SSpec and MM numbers for the converting products
• CPUID will change from 0x10677 to 0x1067A
• Package change to Halide free package

Apart from that, the new stepping CPUs will not include any other changes. Of course, like most new stepping parts a BIOS update will be needed.

My Windows Audio is a Mess

Hi there Punchcard, I will be your Independent Advisor for today, I hope we can both resolve your problem.

What I would suggest for now is to completely remove the Audio drivers listed in the Device Manager. Please make sure you remove all listed under Sound and audio devices.

Here is how to do it.

Here the steps to completely remove a Device off your computer.

Step 1. Use shortcut keys Win + X on Windows 10.

Step 2. Select Device Manager.

Step 3. Expand the entry Sound and Audio. Right-click the problematic device and select Uninstall device.

Step 4. You may need to check the option Delete the driver software for this device, and then click the Uninstall button.

Step 5. Reboot the computer.

And then please see if there are any improvements.
