Windows 10: Update to version 2004 has failed 4 times

I have tried to upgrade my Windows 10 Dell laptop to version 2004 four 4 different times. I got the following error codes 0x8022400b, 0xc1900101 twice and 0x80070003. The upgrade takes a long long time and then just fails and reverts back to my 1909 version that has all updates. Now Windows is trying to force me to upgrade to 2004 so I have put it on Update Pause for 35 days because I am afraid that one of these times it will just crash and I will be out of luck. I have tried a number of fixes, but some I don't really even understand as I read through them. I am a computer user and not a repair or programing specialist. I hate to take it to a shop and pay someone for something so minor as an upgrade. I guess my question is, where do I go from here?

Windows 10 update version 2004 problems

We have several older PC's in our plant that we have upgraded to Windows 10. They have all worked perfectly until the windows 10 update version 2004. Now they are continuously failing after this update. The disk gives an error stating the drive needs
to be formatted. The systems are Dell OptiPlex 390's with an i5 processor and 4 GB of ram. They are also using 120Gb SSD's with a little over half of the drive space available. I have even tried a fresh install of Windows 10 and every time it does this
update it fails again. Any suggestions?

 

Laptop failing to update to version 2004.

The first day that the update came out, I went to the windows update to update my computer to 2004. I did it 3 times and all 3 times it failed. The first 2 times it failed, reverted changes, and restarted my computer. The third time it claimed that my
laptop updated successfully but in run I did the winner command and found out that I am still on version 1909. I used the Windows Update Assistant to help my laptop update to 2004 and it also failed 3 times. It says that it completed the update and it needed
to restart my laptop. When I restart, it shows the Dell symbol with the loading indication at the bottom. It doesn't do the normal blue update screen, instead it just goes straight to lock screen. I want to know if it is just a bug or something because the
same thing happened with my younger brother. He thought his laptop updated successfully but his version is still on 1909. Has anyone else experienced this or something similar to whats happening to me? Is there a solution to this? I also tried using Microsoft
Support for help with update problems and it also didn't work.
