    Update to Windows 10 1809 to 1903 Failing after 2nd reboot


    Hi,


    I've been struggling to install the update, tried to clean update cache, to free up some space on my system disk, but Nothing seems to help.


    As it is after 2nd reboot, it might be a driver problem, but reading the logs doesn't helped, as I Don't know what to look for.

    Windows 10, trying to update to 1903 from 1809 - fails Error 0x80070002.

    I've attempted 3 times now, same problem. Also tried using https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=799445 (the Windows 10 Update Assistant) same issue.

    My best guess is my Windows 10 1903 update is fine, but when my computer reboots to install the update, it flashes the updating screen for about 1/4 of a second, and then the system reboots. Guessing this part of the problem? System runs fine otherwise,
    including heavy gaming.

    Will try booting into safe mode and try the Update Assistant again to see if it makes a difference, but I'm doubtful.

    Feature update to Windows 10, version 1903 x64 2019-04, always fails on reboot

    PC on Windows 10 version 1809. Repeatedly downloads and installs the April 2019 Feature Update version 1903 x64 2019-04. But when rebooting to complete the installation the progress dialogue sticks at 56% for about a minute, then the dialogue clears and
    the reboot finishes ... with the PC still on version 1809.

    Update troubleshooter finds no problems.

    Only way to work around the loop of incessant installation and failed reboots is for me to pause updates.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

    Windows 10 fails to update


    When you finish testing the Avast suggestion, make sure that you restart your machine.

    Then if the issue persists, please return to the trouble shooting list in post# 89

    I think there are three steps that remain; the WU troubleshooter, reset WU components, and manual WU reset.
